MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Russia will continue its efforts to settle pressing global problems, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
"As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, we will continue contributing to the resolution of pressing regional and global problems, persistently defend approaches geared to ensure equal and indivisible security, to form a fair system of international economic relations free from unfair competition, unilateral sanctions and politically-motivated restrictions," he said at a ceremony of receiving credentials from new ambassador of foreign states.
Russia will also "expand contacts with foreign partners on humanitarian and cultural tracks," he stressed.
Touching upon the topic of cooperation between countries, the Russian leader recalled that Russia’s Black Sea resort city of Sochi will host the World Youth Festival in March 2024, which "will bring together young people from all continents." According to the president, delegations from more than 180 countries are expected to take part.
"Apart from that, we are preparing for the innovative, as we call them, Games of the Future in Kazan, which combine classical and cyber sports," he added.
