JAKARTA, November 16. /TASS/. Russia’s special military operation will continue until its goals are fully achieved, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said.
At the 10th ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting-Plus in Jakarta, the senior defense official said that Western countries "openly declare the goal of inflicting a 'strategic defeat' on Russia and, for this purpose, cover up any war crimes committed by Kiev, using the tools of anti-Russian propaganda and Russophobia."
In this regard, Fomin told the participants in the meeting that "the special military operation will continue until the set goals are fully achieved." "The resurgence of Nazism in Europe and the genocide of the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine will be stopped," the senior Russian defense official said.
He pointed out that it was the US and its European and Asian satellites who were responsible for instigating and escalating this conflict. "It has become a direct consequence of the purposeful work of the United States and Western countries to turn Ukraine into an anti-Russian bridgehead, which intensified after the coup in Ukraine," Fomin said.
