Lavrov, Kazakh counterpart discuss countries' relations amid Putin's visit

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu discussed in Astana issues of bilateral relations against the background of Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to the republic.

"Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a conversation with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu in Astana on November 8. They discussed topical issues of bilateral relations in the context of the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, as well as the development of cooperation on international platforms," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry added that "the exchange of views took place in an inherently friendly and constructive atmosphere of strategic partnership and alliance."

Earlier, the Kremlin press service informed that Putin will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on November 9.
