VILNIUS, October 23. /TASS/. The EU Border States have agreed to work on uniform implementation sanctions against Russia and its allies, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry announced on its website.
"The Border States will continue working towards strengthening the uniform application of customs controls, harmonizing the granting of authorizations and increase regular exchanges of information and best practices," the statement says.
The agreement was reached at the second Border States’ meeting in Vilnius on October 23.
According to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, the meeting was attended by the officials from Estonian, Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian and Polish Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Customs authorities, as well as the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF).
