Kremlin does not have details about Assad’s visit to Russia, 'will inform in due time'

It was earlier reported that Assad would pay an official visit to Russia in mid-March

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. The Kremlin will announce the details of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad's possible visit to Russia as soon as they become available, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Monday.

"We will inform you in due time," he said in response to a question about the timeframe of the visit.

The Vedomosti newspaper reported earlier, citing an informed diplomatic source, that Assad would pay an official visit to Russia in mid-March. Peskov noted back then that Moscow does not announce international visits in advance, due in part to security reasons.
