Putin holds Security Council meeting

This is the first meeting of the "large" Security Council since May of this year

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. President Vladimir Putin has opened a meeting of the Russian Security Council, which is being held via video conference.

The announced agenda of the meeting includes the neutralization of national security threats in migration and regulating migration processes in the interests of the country’s socio-economic development and socio-political stability. Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Security Council, who heads the interdepartmental commission on improving migration policy, is scheduled to provide a report.

This is the first meeting of the "large" Security Council since May of this year. At the last meeting, the topic of sustainability and security of the state information infrastructure was discussed.

Putin holds regular weekly operational meetings with the Security Council’s permanent members.
