Russia not chasing deadlines in Ukraine operation, seeks to wipe out Nazism — top official

It is stated that nazism must either be 100% eradicated

MOSCOW, May 24. /TASS/. Russia is not chasing deadlines as it conducts its special military operation in Ukraine, because Nazism must be completely wiped out, otherwise it will raise its ugly head again, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolay Patrushev told Argumenty i Fakty weekly.

"We are not chasing any deadlines," Patrushev said in the interview, asked to comment on people’s concerns about the protracted nature of the operation.

"Nazism must either be 100% eradicated, or it will raise its head again in a few years’ time, and will take an even uglier form," Patrushev said.

"Denazification means a whole range of measures," he said referring to the 1945 Potsdam Conference, when the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States agreed to root out German militarism and Nazism. "Apart from punishing Nazi criminals, the allies annulled the Third Reich’s laws, which legalized discrimination against people on the basis of their race, ethnicity, language, religion, and political opinions," Patrushev said, adding that Nazi doctrines had also been removed from school curricula.

"In liberating Ukraine from Nazism today, our country is pursuing the same objectives that it had back in 1945," the top official emphasized. This time Britain and the US are "supporting Nazism, acting in an aggressive manner in relation to most countries," he added.

People in the West won’t "take off their rose-colored glasses" until Ukrainian thugs start rampaging through their streets, he said, commenting on the West’s doubts about the existence of Nazis in Ukraine.
