WASHINGTON, January 21. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump revealed that his presidential personnel office has initiated procedures to dismiss more than a thousand appointees from the Biden administration.

"My presidential personnel office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand presidential appointees from the previous administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again," Trump wrote on his page on Truth Social. "Jose Andres from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars, and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council — YOU'RE FIRED!," he added.

On Monday, Trump was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States. The ceremony took place in the Rotunda of the US Capitol for the first time in 40 years. Minutes before that event, US Vice President JD Vance, 40, took the oath of office, in line with tradition.
