MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on response visa measures following unfriendly actions of foreign states.
The document was posted on the official portal of legal information on Monday.
The decree "stems from the necessity to take urgent measures to respond to unfriendly actions of the European Union." The decree suspends several provisions of agreements on simplified visa issuance procedures with the European Union, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, and Lichtenstein.
Thus, the decree cancels the simplified document submission procedure on the purposes of the visit. It also cancels multiple one-year visas for official delegations and journalists, multiple five-year visas for members of national and regional governments, parliaments, and courts. Apart from that, it cancels the exemption from payment of visa fees for official delegations, lawmakers and government officials and visa-free entry for holders of diplomatic passports.
