More than 2,000 homes inhabited by 5,300 people remain flooded in Kuban

Twenty communities were left without water due to a pipeline damage, and water deliveries there started. Evaluating commissions are operating

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. The flood has inundated more than 2,300 houses inhabited by 5,300 people in three districts of the Krasnodar Region, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS on Friday.

"As many as 2,365 homes in which more than 5,300 people live, including more than 900 children, and more than 5,700 residential yards, have been flooded in three municipalities in 29 communities,

Twenty communities were left without water due to a pipeline damage, and water deliveries there started. Evaluating commissions are operating.

"The transportation of passengers from detained trains by buses from the Tuapse station to the Goryachy Klyuch station was organized, and support is being provided to the passengers of 20 trains at the Adler, Tuapse, Goryachy Klyuch and Krasnodar stations. More than 500 people were accommodated in hotels and in mother-and-child rooms at stations," the Emergencies Ministry added.

Almost 1,500 people and 330 vehicles are involved in the efforts to remove the effects of the flood.
