Belarusian authorities order e-retailer to stop selling Hitler stamps

MINSK, April 24. /TASS/. After learning that an online retailer was selling stamps bearing the image of Adolf Hitler on its website, prosecutors at the Moskovsky district of Minsk issued a cease and desist order to the proprietor, the website of the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus stated.

The ministry explained that according to a ruling by the Oktyabrsky district court of Minsk dated October 30, 2017, any material featuring "the image of Hitler" is recognized as extremist.

"However, careful monitoring found that one online retailer was offering this prohibited item for sale to the general public on its website," the supervisory authority noted.

The prosecutor's office ordered the platform’s owner to delist the item and "halt the display and sale of extremist material." The platform swiftly complied with the order, the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus said.
