UFA, November 26. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan increased by 30% over the past 10 years, Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev said, adding that mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries will continue expanding.
"Trade, trade-economic cooperation between our countries is developing dynamically. According to statistics, our trade turnover increased by almost 30% over the past 10 years. Meanwhile exports climbed by almost 60%, while export of processed products from Kazakhstan added 2.3%. This demonstrates the fact that our cooperation is mutually beneficial," he said on the sidelines of the 20th forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Ufa.
Boundary regions should "work more actively, share reciprocal visits, form joint ventures," Torebayev noted. Overall 23,000 Russian enterprises work in Kazakhstan, he said. "This is a very high number compared with other countries, which demonstrates that our interrelationship will only rise," the official said.
