Russian government mulls 200% import duty on wine from NATO countries

The government supports mirror countersanctions against unfriendly countries, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko said

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. The Russian government will consider the Russian Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers proposal to set a 200% import duty on wine originating from NATO member-countries, Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko told reporters.

"We will consider the relevant initiative within the framework of the customs and tariffs regulation subcommittee of the Economic Development Ministry," she said.

The government supports mirror countersanctions against unfriendly countries, the deputy prime minister added.
