MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Deliveries of bananas to Russia edged up by 2.1% year on year in January - February 2024 and totaled 255,300 metric tons, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision said.

"In January - February 2024, a total of 255,300 metric tons of bananas were supplied to Russia in January - February 2024. This indicator edged up by 2.1% against the like period of the last year - 250,100 metric tons," the regulator said.

Supplies of bananas to Russia in 2024 were predominantly from Ecuador (249,600 metric tons) and China (2,000 metric tons).
