President of Azerbaijan supports increasing Russia-Azerbaijan trade turnover

Mikhail Mishustin congratulated the President of Azerbaijan on his victory in the recent elections

BAKU, March 6. /TASS/. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin that all tasks within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the countries are being successfully completed and that the volume of bilateral trade is expected to rise.

He noted that the growth in trade turnover between the countries in 2023 reached 17% and approached $4.5 bln. "Naturally, this is not the limit, I am sure that within the framework of the agreements that were reached during the visit [of Russian Prime Minister to Azerbaijan], next year and at the end of this year we will see an even greater increase in mutual trade," Aliyev said.

In turn, Mishustin congratulated the President of Azerbaijan on his victory in the recent elections. He noted that during the visit, a broad agenda of bilateral relations was discussed, including in industry, in particular in transport engineering, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, as well as promising areas of technological innovation projects.
