Rosatom outpaces others in key nuclear technologies — CEO

"What Rosatom is doing for development of the nuclear power sector of the future is completely independent in terms of technology from other players in the market," Aleksey Likhachev stressed

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Rosatom seriously outpaces other countries in key areas of nuclear power and technologies development, CEO of the Russian state corporation Aleksey Likhachev told TASS.

The contribution of the corporation into development of the nuclear power sector of the future does not depend on current restrictions, the chief executive stressed.

"What Rosatom is doing for development of the nuclear power sector of the future is completely independent in terms of technology from other players in the market. We are much in advance of other countries in such areas as fast reactors, small capacity nuclear power plants and technologies of the so-called ‘fourth generation,’ so these restrictions cannot affect Russian nuclear power sector," Likhachev said.
