MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. The most expensive tour abroad that was sold in Russia in 2023, cost 24.5 million rubles ($272,000), where a family of six vacationed from April to July in a hotel in Turkey, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported.
"For 24,500,000 rubles - a family of six people (five adults and one child) vacationed for 67 days (from April to July) at the Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort 5* (Belek, Antalya province) with 'ultra all-inclusive' meals. The price of the tour included direct airfare," the statement says.
In June, a family of five spent 15 nights in the Maldives for a little less - 22.4 million rubles ($248,000).
In December, a family of four paid more than 22.3 million rubles ($247,000) for an eight-day trip to Crans Montana, a Swiss ski resort, ATOR said.
As the association notes, in 2023, tours abroad costing 2-5 million rubles ($22,154-55,411) are no longer a rarity on the market. Trips at this price have become commonplace for the Maldives, ski or luxury resorts in Europe, Turkey, Thailand, exotic Southeast Asia and even Montenegro, which used to be much more affordable.
The most expensive tour inside Russia in 2023 was sold for 6.5 million rubles ($71,865). The tour will allow 11 tourists to go on an expedition river cruise in Siberia in August 2024. The trip will last 12 days.
Next most expensive is an 11-night tour to Sochi for a company of five adults costing 2.8 million rubles ($31,019). Last August, the tourists stayed in a three-story villa with a green garden and a private lounge.
The third most expensive tour is a 10-night vacation for a family of five to Altai in December 2023. It cost 2.7 million rubles ($30,023).
