MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Gazprom managed to meet a half of additional gas needs of China over eleven months of this year, the gas holding said.
"In conclusion of eleven months of 2023, the incremental growth Gazprom’s pipe gas supplies met about a half of additional import gas volumes in the Chinese market," the company said. Deliveries over the Power of Siberia increased significantly from mid-November and until late 2023 as part of an addendum signed earlier to the gas sale and purchase contract between Gazprom and CNPC.
"Significant growth of gas demand in this year was registered in countries of the Asia-Pacific Region. China has become the powerhouse of gas consumption growth. Russian gas is playing an important role in providing for stability of gas supplies for this country," Gazprom added.
