Hungary blocks paper on security guarantees, military aid for Kiev — media

BRUSSELS, March 3. /TASS/. Hungary blocked a draft document on security guarantees and new military aid to Ukraine during a meeting of EU ambassadors on Friday, Politico reported.

According to the newspaper, "on Friday, Hungary rejected a draft text on Ukraine that includes language on security guarantees the bloc can provide to Kiev as well as a new package of military aid."

On February 24, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stated that Hungary would not support the European Union's plan to allocate tens of billions of euros in additional military aid to Ukraine. He also expressed opposition to any rushed decisions on extending individual sanctions against Russian individuals and businesses.
