MINSK, December 11. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Belarus accelerated in November to 5.4% from 3.7% in October, according to the National Statistical Committee (Belstat).
"The consumer price index for goods and services in November 2023 compared to October was 100.7%, compared to December 2022 - 104.9%, compared to November 2022 - 105.4%," the report said.
Prices for food products in November increased by 1.1%, for non-food products - by 0.4%, for services - by 0.2%. Compared to December last year, food products rose in price by 5.2%, non-food products by 2.8%, and services by 7.2%. In annual terms, prices for food products increased by 6.1%, for non-food products - by 2.4%, for services - by 8.2%.
Earlier, the authorities announced plans to maintain inflation by the end of 2023 at a level below 7-8%.
