Russia’s dependence on imports in fuel and energy sector down from 67% to 38% in 10 years

According to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, some 140 new production types have been mastered

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Russia’s dependence on imports in the fuel and energy sector fell from 67% to 38% over the past decade, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.

"I would like to say a few words on technological sovereignty. We are actively addressing it in the fuel and energy sector, having managed to reduce the sector’s dependence on imports from 67% to 38% over the past 10 years," he said.

Some 140 new production types on a number of such critical areas as rotary steerable systems, underwater production technologies and gas liquefaction have been mastered, Novak added.
