Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg extends downtime until late fall

ST. PETERSBURG, October 30. /TASS/. The South Korean automaker Hyundai renewed the downtime of its plant in St. Petersburg until November 30, the Employment Center of the city told TASS.

"Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus informed about the downtime conditions at the plant from November 1, 2023 to November 30, 2023. 534 individuals (about a half of the plant’s staff list) are in downtime," the Center said.

The plant halted automobile production in March 2022 due to difficulties with supplies of components.
