Mobile bakeries to work in Arctic hard-to-reach settlements

Shock frozen bread, baguettes, croissants, puffs and other pastries retain all qualities, including the taste

TASS, October 24. Mobile bakeries with cafes will work in the Nenets Autonomous Region's hard-to-reach settlements, the local administration said, adding the first bakery would work in the Khongurei village.

"The Russian union of bakers <…> has suggested a solution for our hard-to-reach settlements - bakeries with cafes, that would be equipped with fridges," the press service quoted the region's natural resources department's leader Albert Chabdarov as saying.

Hard-to-reach settlements will receive more than 300 deep-frozen pre-cooked items to bake them on the spot.

Shock frozen bread, baguettes, croissants, puffs and other pastries retain all qualities, including the taste.

The region will use results of this pilot project to structure a program to upgrade bakeries in its all hard-to-reach settlements to make sure the local residents may buy freshly baked bread for reasonable prices.
