Severstal posts 5% rise in 9M steel output year-on-year to 8.35 mln tons

According to the company, Q3 steel output fell by 9% to 2.7 mln tons, while pig iron production went down by 7% quarter-on-quarter to 2.71 mln tons

MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Severstal boosted steel output by 5% in 9M 2023 year-on-year to 8.35 mln tons, while the production of pig iron rose by 3% to 8.35 mln tons, the steel and mining company reported.

Steel sales were almost flat in the reporting period year-on-year at 8.16 mln tons.

Q3 steel output fell by 9% to 2.7 mln tons, while pig iron production went down by 7% quarter-on-quarter to 2.71 mln tons, the company said.

Q3 steel sales were at the level of Q2 at 2.69 mln tons.
