NLMK launches recycling marketplace

NLMK Group, a vertically integrated metals company, is one of the largest producers of steel products in Russia

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. NLMK Group has launched an e-commerce platform for the scrap collecting and processing industry, with first transactions via Vtorion having already been successfully completed, the company said in a statement on Monday.

The marketplace is expected to bring transaction costs down for all participants, as well as to offer suppliers direct access to their largest customers, steelmaking companies, and an opportunity to expand their sales market, NLMK noted.

"Vtorion offers a flexible set of tools tuned to the specifics of scrap collection activities, such as filters by raw material parameters and geography, identifying deals based on volumes and regularity of supplies, e-auctions from one’s personal account, automatic qualification of suppliers, and a simplified electronic document flow," the statement said.

NLMK Group, a vertically integrated metals company, is one of the largest producers of steel products in Russia. The group’s production assets are located in Russia, Europe and the US. The company’s steel production capacities exceed 18 mln tonnes per year.
