Russia, Iran confirm intentions to develop port infrastructure — Novak

Proactive efforts are being implemented at present to ensure the opportunity of paying in national currencies and messages transmission between banks of both countries

GROZNY, November 1. /TASS/. Russia and Iran confirmed intentions to cooperate in developing the required logistical infrastructure, including ports, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters after the meeting of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission.

"We have confirmed once again today arrangements on the soonest possible development of the required infrastructure for trade and economic relations. This refers to the development of the North-South international transport corridor, development of ports of the Caspian and Mediterranean Seas, creation of joint logistical centers and participation in development of required infrastructure," Novak noted.
