MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Rosoboronexport arms trader currently participates in ten major joint projects to produce armaments, CEO Alexander Mikheyev told the committee on foreign trade in weapons.
"Rosoboronexport has successfully implemented over ten major technological projects for arms production of late and is implementing another ten at present. Company’s plans include projects in Asia and Pacific region, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America and CIS countries," he said.
Rosoboronexport said one of the main challenges for Russian enterprises is the risk of counterfeit production abroad. Besides financial losses, it affects the image of the Russian military-industrial complex.
"To minimize the detriment from unlicensed production, Rosoboronexport is actively working with business partners and state customers of Russian products abroad," it said.
The arms trader said leading Russian defense holdings had signed cooperation agreements on intellectual property. Besides, it is planned to develop legal forms of counteraction to counterfeit products, including preventive patenting of intellectual property for judicial persecution of dishonest producers.
