Russian forces deliver strike on Ukrainian brigade south of Donetsk

MOSCOW, January 15. /TASS/. Russia’s Battlegroup East units have delivered a strike on a brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces near Yelizavetovka south of Donetsk, battlegroup spokesman Alexander Gordeyev told TASS.

According to him, "eight temporary stationing points, a communication hub, an unmanned aviation hub, an armored fighting vehicle, four motor vehicles and up to 40 troops were eliminated."

The military official said that during counterbattery work, the battlegroup’s artillery, using Lancet loitering munitions and FPV-drones, wiped out two tanks near Velikaya Novoselka and Vremevka, Dana and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery guns in the vicinity of Dobrovolye, Novoukrainka and Prechistovka, M777 and FH-70 towed howitzers near Katerinovka, Poltavka and Yelizavetovka, as well as five mortar crews.

"The adversary’s total losses have amounted to two tanks, three self-propelled artillery systems, three towed howitzers, a Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile launcher, six motor vehicles and over 170 troops," the spokesman added.
