Battle group East disrupts Ukrainian forces’ rotation South of Donetsk

The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that the aircraft and artillery of the combat group destroyed four enemy temporary deployment points

MOSCOW, January 3. /TASS/. The aviation and artillery of the battle group East have wiped out four temporary deployment sites and foiled three rotation attempts by the Ukrainian forces South of Donetsk, the chief of the group's press center Alexander Gordeyev has said.

"Strikes by bomber aircraft and artillery hit temporary deployment sites, strongholds and locations of manpower of Ukraine’s 79th Airborne Assault Brigade in the areas of Novomikhailovka, Konstantinovka and Priyutnoye. Four temporary deployment sites were destroyed and three attempts of the enemy to rotate forces in Novomikhailovka and north of Vladimirovka were thwarted," Gordeyev said.

Two Paladin self-propelled artillery pieces and an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery piece were destroyed by Lancet barrage munitions in the areas of the Oktyabr state farm.

Gordeyev also said that counter-battery measures destroyed a Polish-made Krab artillery piece near Vodyanoye, a US-made M777 howitzer in Antonovka and a D-20 howitzer near the village of Ravnopol, as well as five mortar crews. The enemy lost 3 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Furia and Leleka types and 3 automotive vehicles.
