CSTO Secretary General to visit Yerevan after Minsk summit — Belarusian Foreign Minister

Answering a question about the absence of Armenian representatives at the CSTO summit, Sergey Aleinik proposed to take it "calmly"

MINSK, November 23. /TASS/. CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov will visit Yerevan after the summit in Minsk and will hand over the signed documents to the Armenian side, Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergey Aleinik said.

"We agreed that, after the summit, the CSTO Secretary General will visit Yerevan and we will hand over all decisions that have been finalized within the agreement commission to our Armenian partners and colleagues, and we will expect them to join it," the Minister told reporters.

Answering a question about the absence of Armenian representatives at the CSTO summit, Aleinik proposed to take it "calmly."

The CSTO summit in Minsk is being attended by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is the only one of the six member states’ leaders not attending the event.
