Nine shelling attacks on Syrian government forces by militants of terrorist groups were reported in the Idlib de-escalation zone during the past day, Vadim Kulit, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian defense ministry), said on Monday.
"During the day, nine shelling attacks on positions of government forces were reported in the Idlid de-escalation zone from positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra and the Turkestan Islamic Party terrorist groups (both outlawed in Russia): one in the Aleppo governorate, five in the Idlib governorate, and three in the Latakia governorate," he said.
According to Kulit, Russian military police units conducted patrols in the Raqqa and al-Hasakah governorates. "The center continues to monitor the ceasefire between the conflicting parties," he added.
