VILNIUS, October 3. /TASS/. NATO fighter jets stationed at Lithuania’s Zokniai Air Base were scrambled to identify an object detected by military surveillance systems, national broadcaster LRT reported, citing a statement from the Baltic country’s National Crisis Management Center.

The center also "issued an air threat warning for Vilnius County and the area around the city of Ukmerge." Vilnius International Airport has been closed.
