Iran to partake in all BRICS events in Russia — ambassador

As Russia and Iran interact at such platforms as BRICS and SCO, they help each other in the areas of the multipolar world formation, Kazem Jalali noted

MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Iran intends to take part at the top level in all BRICS events in Russia, the country’s Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali said.

"We are glad that the Russian Federation chairs BRICS. We have decided to participate in all BRICS-related events taking place in Russia at the highest level," he told an international conference devoted to cooperation between Russia and Iran.

As Russia and Iran interact at such platforms as BRICS and SCO, they help each other in the areas of the multipolar world formation, the diplomat added.

Russia assumed the one-year rotating chairmanship of BRICS on January 1, 2024. On Moscow’s watch, BRICS will carry out over 200 events covering a wide range of issues. The key event of Russia’s chairmanship will be the BRICS summit in October 2024 in Kazan, Tatarstan, in Russia’s Volga region.
