Ukraine’s intel chief claims responsibility for plotting terror attacks on Russian soil

Kirill Budanov also said that Kiev had been recruiting Russians, "people who understand that Russia should be different"

WASHINGTON, January 31. /TASS/. Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, admitted there are agents in Russia who engage in terrorist activities.

Budanov said in an interview with the Washington Post released on Tuesday that there were people on Russian soil who planted explosives and that this threat would remain "until the territorial integrity of Ukraine is restored."

The Ukrainian intelligence chief also said that Kiev had been recruiting Russians, "people who understand that Russia should be different."

Earlier, Russian officials repeatedly pointed to Ukraine’s attempts to carry out terrorist acts in Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the Kiev regime has been openly using terrorist means, among other things by blowing up high-voltage power lines around the Kursk nuclear power plant.
