Russian troops continue to advance along South Donetsk, Zaporozhye frontlines

Two Ukrainian arms depots were destroyed near Vodyanoye in the DPR and Nikolskoye in the Zaporozhye Region

MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. Russian forces continue to advance along the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye frontlines, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.

"Units from the Vostok group of forces continued to advance along the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye frontlines in the past day, defeating enemy forces near Ugledar, Novosyolka and Novomayorksoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugovskoye in the Zaporozhye Region," he noted.

According to Konashenkov, two Ukrainian arms depots were destroyed near Vodyanoye in the DPR and Nikolskoye in the Zaporozhye Region. The enemy lost up to 70 troops, two infantry fighting vehicles, three combat armored vehicles, two pickup trucks, three D-20 and D-30 howitzers and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.
