TEHRAN, January 23. /TASS/. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Monday will receive Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, who is leading a delegation of lawmakers to Iran, the IRNA news service reported, citing a source in the Iranian parliament.

"The meeting will take place following a session of the commission for cooperation between the State Duma and the Iranian parliament," the person said.

He also said Volodin is scheduled to hold talks with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament, which will be followed by their joint news conference.

The Russian delegation includes State Duma Deputy Speaker Sergey Neverov, International Affairs Committee Chairman Leonid Slutsky, Financial Market Committee Chairman Anatoly Aksakov, Security and Anti-Corruption Committee Chairman Vasily Piskarev and Transport Committee Chairam Yevgeny Moskvichev.

The previous session of the committee for cooperation between the parliaments took place in January 2020.
