Two servicemen of Ukrainian army elite unit defect to Russia in Zaporozhye region

Vladimir Rogov, leader of the We Are Together with Russia movement, told that at least several dozens of soldiers of the Ukrainian army’s territorial defense units had deserted to Russia in the Zaporozhye region since mid-December

MELITOPOL, January 22. /TASS/. Two servicemen of Ukraine’s elite army unit have defected to Russia, a source in the law enforcement agencies in the Zaporozhye region told TASS on Sunday.

"Two Ukrainian servicemen today came over to our side in the Zaporozhye direction. These are servicemen of an elite unit. They have already begun to share important data with our side," the source said.

Vladimir Rogov, leader of the We Are Together with Russia movement, told TASS earlier that at least several dozens of soldiers of the Ukrainian army’s territorial defense units had deserted to Russia in the Zaporozhye region since mid-December, when the number of such cases increased dramatically.
