Eight wounded in Ukrainian attacks in DPR in past day

DONETSK, August 27. /TASS/. Eight people were wounded in attacks by Ukraine’s forces in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the past day, the DPR’s mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center for issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes reported on Saturday.

"Over the past day, the mission registered 54 shelling attacks by Ukrainian forces," the mission said in a statement. "Eight civilians in Donetsk’s Kuibyshevsky and Kirovsky districts and in Gorlovka and Staromikhailovka sustained wounds of varying severity."

A total of 309 rounds were fired on the DPR, with the Ukrainians using Uragan and Grad multiple launch rocket systems, as well as 155-, 152-and 122 mm artillery and 120 mm mortars. Residential areas in 13 localities in the DPR came under fire, and 49 homes and nine civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged in the attacks.

The DPR’s mission reported 43 Ukrainian attacks the day before.
