DONETSK, May 30. /TASS/. The armed forces of Ukraine intensified their shelling of Donetsk and Gorlovka on Sunday evening, launching over 100 projectiles to the area, including from Grad multiple-launch rocket systems, said Eduard Basurin, a deputy chief of the DPR People’s Militia.
"The adversary stepped up its chaotic shelling of Donetsk and Gorlovka city districts on Sunday evening, firing over 100 projectiles from BM-21 Grad MLRS, as well as 155-mm and 122-mm artillery cannons. This act of Ukrainian aggression led to civilian casualties. Damage of houses and civilian infrastructure was also reported," he said in a statement.
Information about damage and casualties is now being verified, the official added.
Earlier on Sunday, DPR People’s Militia and the territorial defense headquarters reported four civilian death on the republic’s territory: two in Donetsk and two in Makeyevka.
