MOSCOW, February 12. /TASS/. Russia may commission the record high area of warehouse properties as of the end of 2025, according to forecasts of NF Group consultancy.
"The record-breaking volume of warehouse properties will be put into service in Russia as of the end of 2025 - 7.2 mln square meters. This indicator will be the all-time high one, surpassing all the prior values throughout the observation period," analysts said.
The forecast result is almost twice higher than in 2024, when the record-breaking area of 3.9 mln square meters was also commissioned. The record high figure this year stems from transactions made in 2023 and the first half of 2024, the company noted.
"Russian regions, where 3.7 mln square meters of new areas are expected for commissioning, will provide for the bulk of incremental growth. This evidence growing interest of investors and business in development of the logistical infrastructure outside capital agglomerations," the consulting firm said.
The Moscow Region will make a significant contribution to the total volume: 2.7 mln square meters, almost twice higher than 1.2 mln square meters in the last year. St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region will show growth to 856,000 square meters, 17% more on an annualized basis.
