MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. The boy who was wounded during an attack by Ukrainian saboteurs on a village in the Klimovsky district of the Bryansk Region was operated on. Surgeons extracted a bullet, region’s Governor Alexander Bogomaz wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

Thanks to medics’ professionalism, "the young hero Fyodor" was successfully operated on, the governor blogged. "Medics extracted a bullet fired from a NATO-made weapon. Fyodor is under constant medical observation," he wrote.

Earlier, Bogomaz said that Bryansk Region authorities were preparing documents to put forward for a decoration the boy, who helped two other small children to escape from the vehicle and instructed them on where to hide, despite himself receiving wounds when saboteurs strafed a civilian automobile with gunfire in the Bryansk Region.

On Thursday, Ukrainian saboteurs infiltrated a Bryansk Region area adjacent to the border with Ukraine. The FSB confirmed that an operation was underway to eliminate the infiltrators. According to official data, two people were killed and a boy born in 2012 was injured. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack in the Bryansk Region an act of terror.
