Russian watchdog says it did not restrict Wikipedia access in Russia

It is reported that technical support at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on addressing the causes of the failure to access Wikipedia

MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Disruptions in the operation of the Wikipedia website in Russia are not related to restrictions by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor), the regulator’s press service told TASS this Wednesday.

"Roskomnadzor is not restricting the operation of the Wikipedia website in Russia," the watchdog said.

Technical support at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on addressing the causes of the failure to access Wikipedia, executive director of Wikimedia Ru, the resource that maintains the Russian version of Wikipedia, Stanislav Kozlovsky, said earlier. The cause of the failure is being investigated.
