MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. The inspection and control of transport moving between Russian regions with a yellow level of a terror threat have been tightened, according to a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin published on the official portal of legal information on Tuesday.
The document amends the head of state’s decree on the order of establishing the levels of terror risks which provide for taking additional measures to ensure personal, societal and state security as well as the order established by this decree. It involves "tightened control over the movement of the means of transportation across the administrative borders of a subject entity of the Russian Federation where a level of a terrorist threat has been established and the inspections of transport using technical means of detecting weapons and explosive substances." Earlier, this measure was provided only for regions with a red terrorist threat level.
Additionally, the president’s decree cancels a 15-day term of a level of terror risks.
Currently, the yellow terror threat level has been introduced in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk Regions, Sevastopol, some districts in Crimea, the Krasnodar and Voronezh Regions. It involves the stepped-up operation of power structures as well as inspections at railway stations and other public places. Also, with the yellow level of a terror threat, medical institutions are switched to a high alert mode and locations for the temporary accommodation of residents are determined. Additionally, security at strategic facilities, including energy infrastructure, is boosted.
