MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. According to space weather monitoring data, a moderate magnetic storm is being observed on Earth on November 26, the Russian Institute of Applied Geophysics says.
"The magnetic storm continues," the Institute noted.
The magnitude of the geomagnetic field’s disturbance reached the moderate level of G2 on the monitoring scale of five indicators, where G5 means "extremely strong" and G1 means "weak."
The G2 level means that problems in power system may occur on Earth. Radio navigation failures and high frequency radio communication disturbance are also possible. Polar lights are being registered up to 50-degree altitudes.
