MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Russia plans to launch a total of 132 satellites for the Marafon IoT (Internet of Things) constellation in 2025, the director general of the Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems (ISS) company Yevgeny Nesterov told TASS in an interview.
"Full orbital grouping is to have 264 spacecraft. The first 132 spacecraft are to be launched in 2025," Nesterov said.
Overall, the Marafon IoT satellite constellation project of Reshetnev ISS will comprise over 250 spacecraft each weighting below 50 kg. They will be positioned in 12 orbital planes at the altitude of around 750 km.
