Nord Stream blasts highlight EU’s subordinate position to US — Russian diplomat

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov said "it’s easy to imagine how hard the economy and competitiveness of the European countries were hit, as well as the well-being of their citizens"

MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. The explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines made the European Union understand that it depends on Washington, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov said in an interview with TASS.

"This terrorist attack was exceptional because it unequivocally showed European Union countries, the customers of our gas, that they are in a subordinate position. They were actually denied the opportunity to purchase the commodity that’s crucial for their economic activities at affordable prices and were made to pay through the nose," he stated.

"It’s easy to imagine how hard the economy and competitiveness of the European countries were hit, as well as the well-being of their citizens," Syromolotov added.
