China’s top diplomat proposes 'dual opposition' to West’s 'dual deterrence' — Lavrov

Also, Russia’s top diplomat said that "our Chinese friends and we agreed to launch a dialogue [on shaping Eurasian security] that would involve our allies"

BEIJING, April 9. /TASS/. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi proposed the idea of mounting `dual opposition’ to the West’s `dual deterrence’, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a news conference following his talks with Wang.

"Yesterday, Minister Wang Yi invented this formula of `dual opposition to dual deterrence’. And our leaders, [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, have repeatedly underscored the resolve on the part of Russia and China to counter attempts at putting brakes on efforts to build a multipolar world order or the long overdue processes of installing democratization and justice," Lavrov said.
