Russia to not reckon with those who sponsor bloodshed in Ukraine — diplomat

According to Maria Zakharova, the hybrid war unleashed against Russia affects, among other things, international law, everything that has been accumulated in this area since the World War II

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Russia will not reckon with with those who sponsor the long-lasting bloodshed in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"No one in Russia will reckon with those who support the long-lasting bloodshed on their own continent against our country," she said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel when asked about French President Emmanuel Macron's reaction to the conversation between the top Russian and French defense officials.

According to the spokeswoman, the hybrid war unleashed against Russia affects, among other things, international law, everything that has been accumulated in this area since the World War II, and on such a scale, with "insolence, boorishness, absolute impudence" such a thing is happening for the first time in modern history.

The doctrinal documents of the Western countries lack the very idea of equal and peaceful cooperation, Zakharova explained: "Such concepts, such theses <...> are not there, they are absent in speeches, they are absent in principle in the philosophy of those who are the very engine of NATO."

On April 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu spoke over telephone with his French counterpart about the terrorist attack at the Crocus near Moscow, as well as negotiations on Ukraine. Despite France's assurances that Kiev and Western countries were not involved in the attack, the investigation will be completed, the Russian Defense Ministry said following the conversation.
