MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Armenia understands that nowhere else it will receive the benefits it enjoys thanks to the membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk told reporters.
"The advantages Armenia has thanks to its membership in the EAEU it will not receive anywhere else. The country’s leadership understands this. The people there are smart. That’s why we see, in particular, the statements of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, which he makes at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, at the Eurasian intergovernmental Councils. These are always very underscored words of support for the economic agenda of the EAEU. We see this," he noted.
Overchuk recalled that this year Armenia is presiding over the EAEU, while meetings of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission are chaired by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. "We are constantly in contact on many issues, including on the issues of bilateral agenda. The work with our Armenian colleagues in the EAEU is going very constructively," the Russian Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
