Russian air defenses destroy 17 Ukrainian rockets over borderline Belgorod Region

A missile danger alert was lifted in the Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces destroyed 17 rockets of the Ukrainian army’s Czech-made Vampire multiple launch rocket system over the Belgorod Region bordering Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Monday.

"At about 4:00 p.m. Moscow time [1:00 p.m. GMT] on April 1, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack against facilities on Russian territory with an RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system was thwarted. Alert air defense forces destroyed 17 rockets over the Belgorod Region," the ministry said in a statement.

A missile danger alert was lifted in the Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel.

"In Belgorod and Belgorod suburbs, a missile attack warning has been lifted," he said.
